About This Weather Station
The station is powered by a Davis Instruments Professional Weather Station (PWS). The weather station is located at Golden Pond Farm in western Farmington. This is the only weather station in the Farmington area on the internet. It seems the Weather Bug-owned station at the Middle School are off-line as they are no longer available through WeatherBug. This station provides data to Wunderground which in turn provides data to WCCO for use on their web site's weather section.
The data is collected every 5 seconds and the site is updated every 5 seconds. For even more up to date results, we are a "Rapid Fire" weather data provider for the Weather Underground (Wunderground). You can see a sample of the "Rapid Fire" data at Linn's Carpet.
This site and it's data is collected using Weather Display software. The station comprises of an anemometer/wind vane, rain gauge, solar sensor and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible and compliance with international weather station data collection standards.
